Please consider a cash donation to Berean Academy to help support extracurricular activities or character education programs. Some donations may be eligible for a tax credit from the State of Arizona.

Donations are a dollar-for-dollar benefit! Contributions that are eligible for a tax credit are donated directly to the school, not to the state. Funding from tax credit contributions will allow more children to participate in activities.

Claiming Your Tax Credit Donation:

  1. You do not need to have a child enrolled in Berean Academy to claim the tax credit
  2. The tax credit is NOT available to businesses or corporations
  3. The credits may only be used to extend or reduce tax liability to zero. Any unused amounts may be carried forward for up to the next five taxable years.
  4. For Tax Year 2017, Please consult the Guidelines For The Public School Extracurricular Activity (ECA) Tax Credit
  5. Married taxpayers may not contribute separately unless filing separately.
  6. In order to receive the tax credit, the payment must be made prior to April 15, 2018 to get the tax credit for 2017.
  7. The tax credit for contributions to a public school for support of extracurricular activities or character education programs is claimed by the individual taxpayer.

Tax credit procedure:
  • Write a check to the school
  • Deliver or mail your check to the school with your response form completed before April 15, 2018.
  • In the Spring; claim your tax credit upon filing your taxes.
  • Contributions may be claimed on your 2017 tax return by using Arizona Tax
    Form 322 when it becomes available.
